EMEA Financial Director

We are currently seeking a skilled financial manager with expertise in the medical device manufacturing industry to join our team as the Regional Finance Director on behalf of a multinational medical device manufacturer based in the US. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the region and will directly report to the Global Vice President of Finance in the US and the EMEA Regional Operations Director in the UK. You will also collaborate closely with key stakeholders and senior management within the organization.
Responsibilites
- A master's degree in Finance or Accounting and/or an accounting qualification
- Relevant experience in financial accounting within a medical device manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in standard costing, plant financial management, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
- Knowledge and experience in maintaining and enforcing internal controls
- Ability to effectively influence senior cross-functional teams
- Strong working knowledge of large-scale ERPs (preferably Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly within the context of large manufacturing companies
Requirements
- Providing financial control, management, and support for multiple manufacturing sites and management teams in the EMEA region as part of post-acquisition integration.
- Managing and developing a team of plant controllers across EMEA manufacturing sites.
- Ensuring strict internal control of all plant financial functions as a member of the Global Operations leadership team.
- Translating operational strategy into annual plans and implementing tactics to drive continuous improvements.
- Offering insights and expertise on operational costs to achieve world-class standards.
- Leading standardization and automation efforts for reporting across the group, utilizing Oracle ERP.
- Supporting new product introduction projects to maintain the company's competitive advantage in the global medical device market.
- Collaborating closely with the Global Vice President of Finance and the EMEA Regional Operations Director to manage various activities.
- Engaging with internal contacts including senior management within Medical Operations, Regional Finance, Service and Repair,Sales, Marketing, Internal Audit, Quality, Regulatory, HR, and Engineering.
- Engaging with external contacts including financial and systems auditors, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
